Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is an organization made up of people who are advocates of the library.  They help by volunteering their time, resources and  talent.  Through creative programming they help support and promote the library  to the community.

Upcoming Meetings
Meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of every month between September to April from 6:30 P.M - 8:00 P.M. in the Community Room at the Portland District Library. All meetings are open to the public.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30p.m.

Book Sales
You can drop off your books for the April of 2010 Friends Book Sale at the library. Please mention that the books are for the Friends Sale so they will not end up in the regular sale.

 We are unable to accept donations of:

  1. Reader's Digest condensed books
  2. Textbooks
  3. Magazines
  4. Encyclopedias
  5. Books with mold, mildew, or falling apart
