The book this year is The Help written by Kathryn Stockett. Each library in the county has several copies of the the book available for check out.

The Help is set in Mississippi in the 1960's . It is the story of three woman who start out to write a book but end up making a difference. These women forever change a town and the way women- mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends- view each other. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope. The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.
