What's New at Your Library
Family Video Game Time
The Portland District Library will be having video games available for people of all ages to play. We will have 2 Nintendo Wii Systems and the games available will be Wii Sports, Wii Games, Guitar Hero, and Dance Dance Revolution. Dates are Friday August 15, Friday August 22, and Friday August 29 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

The Summer Reading Program is Finally Here!
The
adult summer reading program is open to all adults over 18 years of
age, it starts on June 16 and will run for 10 weeks ending on August
22th with the winners being drawn on the 25th. The rules are simple
after every 5 books in a specific genre are read the patron can choose
a small prize. Also with after 5 books are read the patron's name will
go into a drawing for the Grand Prize. Pick up your reading log at the
circulation desk if you wish to participate.

Summer Hours
Our Saturday summer hours will go into effect on Memorial Day Weekend. Beginning Saturday May 24th , the library will be open from 9 A.M. to Noon. The Saturday schedule will continue through Labor Day weekend. All other hours will remain the same. In addition to our summer hours we will be closed on Memorial day, The 4th of July, and Labor Day. We will also be closed on the Saturdays of those weekends- May 24th, July 5th and August 30th.

Not able to find a certain book at our library? Click on the MeL
(Michigan elibrary) link below. You will be able to search for and request materials from a growing list of participating Michigan libraries. Your item will arrive at our library usually in about one week for you to pick up. When you are finished, simply return the item to the Portland District Library. There is no fee for this service.
